LegalZoom allows you to check the status of your order online anytime. This is a great feature. If you need to talk to a live person, you have to call or email during business hours (Monday through Friday 6:00am to 7:00pm PST).
Attorney Support
If you need to speak with an attorney, LegalZoom now offers assistance in getting you in touch with an attorney in your area.
State-Specific Info
LegalZoom does not offer as much state specific information on its website as some of the smaller more specialized competitors. They do offer monthly subscriptions that provide you with access to an attorney in your area.
Guarantee
LegalZoom provides a satisfaction guarantee (you can see it in full by clicking the link). If you are not satisfied with their services, you can contact them and they will correct the situation, provide a refund or offer credit that can be used for future LegalZoom orders.
Specialty
Unlike some of their competition, LegalZoom does not specialize on one kind of form. However, they are large enough and have enough resources that the quality of their product does not suffer as much as we would have thought.
Complaints
At the time fo this LegalZoom review, they had 58 complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau. At first we thought this was too many complaints. However, after further review, it appears that the number of complaints has a direct relationship to the total number of customers and LegalZoom is not proportionately different than their competitors.
